BRADENTON, Fla. (WFLA) — A Bradenton man died after he crashed his SUV into a guardrail on Monday evening, according to troopers.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a 52-year-old Bradenton man was driving east on 49th Street East near 16th Avenue East in Palmetto when he drove off the road for an unknown reason.
Investigators said the SUV collided with a guardrail and culvert. The vehicle then entered a canal where no water was present.
A woman was also in the SUV. She suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to a hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
