Bradenton, Florida – Lana Sue Winterbottom, born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2024. She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Edna Keister. Lana is survived by her beloved husband, Roy Winterbottom, and his family and Melissa Riley, niece and daughter of late lifelong friend, Marilyn Hendrickson.
A resident of Bradenton for over 50 years, Lana was a dedicated hairstylist for more than 55 years. She established Lana’s Beauty Hair-em in the early 1980s, where she cared deeply for her clients, treating them like family. Lana’s commitment to her clients extended beyond the salon, as she often made house calls to ensure they were always looked after.
Lana had a passion for all things creative and eclectic, and she had a deep appreciation for nature, especially butterflies. She enjoyed traveling and cruises, often finding joy and luck as “The Golden Buddha” of her adventures. Lana also had a love for vintage items and antiques, working as an Antique Broker at Emiline’s Antiques & Collectibles in Palmetto.
Lana was welcomed home by her best companions, Missy the Jack Russell Terrier, and Coo Coo the Siamese Cat, while Puss ‘N Boots remains to keep Roy company.
Her memory will forever be cherished by the many lives she touched. We wish her eternal peace.
